Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of Escapo. By accessing Escapo, creating an account, generating or saving an itinerary, purchasing premium access, unlocking a full itinerary, starting a subscription, or using any free or paid feature, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use Escapo.

The Terms apply to all users of the service — visitors, account holders, customers, consumers and, where applicable, non-consumers. Where mandatory consumer protection law grants you rights that differ from these Terms, those rights prevail (see sections 11 and 19).

Escapo is operated by:

Escapo is a web-based, AI-assisted travel planning platform. It helps you generate, view, save and refine personalised travel itineraries based on your preferences, with maps, timing suggestions and place details.

The service may include free previews, paid one-time unlocks ("Trip Pass"), premium itineraries, subscriptions ("Escapo Plus"), travel recommendations, links to third-party services, and affiliate links.

Escapo is a digital service. It is not a traditional travel agency, and it does not sell, book or operate travel services (see sections 7 and 9).

• You must have the legal capacity to use the service and, where applicable, to enter into a distance contract under the laws that apply to you.
• You must provide accurate and current account information.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account.
• You must not impersonate another person or use another person's account or credentials.

Escapo uses third-party authentication providers to create and secure accounts. Your use of those providers may also be subject to their own terms.

You agree to keep the contact details associated with your account accurate. We may send service, billing, security or legal notifications to the most recent email address associated with your account, and such notices are deemed received by you.

When using Escapo you must not:

• use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
• commit or facilitate fraud, including payment fraud;
• create accounts abusively, or create multiple accounts to exploit free previews, trials, promotions or usage limits;
• scrape, harvest or bulk-extract content or data from the service;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the service, except where the law expressly permits;
• abuse the service through automation, bots or scripted access;
• abuse, manipulate or attempt to exploit the AI generation features, including through crafted prompts intended to bypass safeguards;
• attempt to bypass access limits, usage limits, paywalls or preview restrictions;
• access or attempt to access accounts, systems or data without authorization;
• perform security testing, scanning or penetration testing without our prior written permission;
• attack, overload or disrupt our servers or infrastructure;
• upload or transmit malicious code or harmful content;
• violate the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties;
• use Escapo in any way that harms the service, other users or third parties.

We may suspend, restrict or terminate accounts in cases of abuse, fraud, excessive use, non-payment, security risk or violation of these Terms. We may also apply technical protection measures such as rate limits, CAPTCHA or similar verification, account restrictions or feature limits to protect the platform and its users.

Escapo provides AI-assisted suggestions and digital travel-planning content. AI output is inherently probabilistic: we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, suitability, availability, safety or up-to-date status.

Itineraries may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, unrealistic timing, places that are closed or no longer exist, incorrect prices, incorrect opening hours or inaccurate travel assumptions. You must independently verify all important travel details before booking, paying, travelling or otherwise relying on an itinerary.

In particular, Escapo makes no guarantee regarding:

• routes, travel times and distances;
• opening hours and admission conditions;
• ticket, hotel, flight or other prices;
• transport schedules and connections;
• local laws and regulations;
• safety conditions and weather;
• visa, passport and entry requirements;
• health requirements and accessibility;
• availability of attractions, restaurants, accommodation or transport;
• third-party offers, including affiliate partner availability and pricing.

Escapo is not:

• a travel agency or tour operator;
• a transport, accommodation or airline provider;
• an insurer;
• a legal, immigration, medical or financial adviser;
• a safety authority.

To use Escapo you may submit destinations, dates, budgets, travel preferences, interests, pace, travel companions, notes, flight information, accommodation information and other travel details ("User Content").

You are responsible for the legality, accuracy and appropriateness of the User Content you submit. Do not submit sensitive personal data (such as health information) unless it is genuinely necessary for your planning request.

You grant Escapo a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process your User Content solely to provide, maintain, secure and improve the service, generate itineraries, provide recommendations and support you. We may process User Content through third-party providers — such as AI, hosting, database, authentication and payment providers — as described in our Privacy Policy.

• Escapo may link to or integrate third-party services for bookings, activities, flights, maps, accommodation, payments, analytics, authentication, storage, email or affiliate offers.
• Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies, which you should review before booking or purchasing anything.
• Escapo may receive commissions or other affiliate compensation if you click or purchase through certain links. Affiliate links do not increase your price unless the third-party provider explicitly states otherwise.
• Escapo is not responsible for third-party availability, pricing, cancellations, refunds, accuracy, service quality, safety, booking conditions or policy changes.

• Escapo may offer free access, limited previews, free trials, paid one-time unlocks, premium access or subscriptions. The availability of trials and features may change over time.
• Free previews and trials may be limited — for example to one per user, account, payment method, device or IP address — or subject to other abuse-prevention criteria.
• If a trial requires payment details, billing may start automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before that moment.
• Paid features may be billed in advance.
• Escapo may change plans, features, pricing, limits or availability, subject to applicable law and with notice where the law requires it.
• If you do not wish to continue a subscription, you are responsible for cancelling before the renewal date.

All payments are non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Paid features may include premium access, full itinerary unlocks (Trip Pass), subscriptions (Escapo Plus), AI-generated travel plans, saved premium itineraries and other digital services. Payments are billed in advance.

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current billing period or any previous payment.

Escapo does not provide refunds for:

• change of mind;
• unused time or unused features;
• dissatisfaction with AI-generated suggestions;
• changes to your travel plans;
• third-party price or availability changes;
• missed trips;
• failure to verify itinerary details;
• user error.

Right of withdrawal (EU / Romania)

If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal under applicable consumer protection laws for certain distance contracts. By purchasing premium access, starting a subscription, unlocking a full itinerary or initiating an AI-generated travel plan, you expressly request immediate access to and performance of Escapo's digital service.

You acknowledge that once immediate access, performance or delivery of the digital content or digital service begins, you may lose any statutory right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived by law — including any non-waivable statutory remedies for digital content or digital services that are defective or not as described.

• Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider we may use.
• Escapo never stores your full card details — they go directly to the payment provider.
• The payment provider's own terms and privacy policy may apply to the payment process.
• Billing disputes may involve the payment provider, your bank or your card issuer.

Escapo owns or licenses the platform, software, user interface, brand, logos, design, copy, visual elements and proprietary content. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, reproduce, resell, sublicense, scrape or commercially exploit Escapo or its content, except as expressly allowed by these Terms.

• You may use the itineraries generated for you for personal travel planning, including exporting and printing them.
• Escapo may retain generated outputs associated with your account to provide saved trips and service continuity.
• Escapo does not guarantee that generated itineraries are unique — similar preferences or destinations may produce similar outputs for different users.
• Escapo may use aggregated, anonymised or otherwise non-identifying information to improve the service, where legally permitted.

Escapo is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, secure or always-available service. AI providers, hosting providers, payment providers, map providers, affiliate partners and other third parties we depend on may experience outages outside our control.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue features where necessary, subject to applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, fraud, abuse, non-payment, security risk, legal requirement or misuse of the service. You may stop using the service at any time and, where available, cancel subscription renewals from your account.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination do survive — including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, intellectual property provisions and legal compliance provisions.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Escapo disclaims all warranties — express or implied — including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, non-infringement and suitability for travel decisions. We do not warrant that AI-generated content will meet your expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Escapo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or purely economic losses.

In particular, Escapo is not liable for travel losses, missed bookings, cancellations, denied boarding, visa or passport problems, unsafe conditions, illness, accidents, weather disruptions, third-party failures, price changes, unavailable attractions, inaccurate AI output, or reliance on itineraries without independent verification.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, the UK or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection rules, those rules apply where the law requires.

Romanian law applies to these Terms, unless mandatory consumer law of your country of residence provides otherwise.

These Terms are governed by Romanian law, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts, without prejudice to any mandatory jurisdiction rules that protect consumers.

Consumers in Romania may address the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC — anpc.ro). Where applicable, consumers may also use alternative dispute resolution mechanisms recognised under Romanian and EU law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance where legally permitted; material changes will be notified where the law requires it.
